I'm not the most advanced reef keeper out there but I learn something new everyday. I started my first reef tank last year, it wasn't the prettiest or stocked and ran with the best but it intrigued me to learn more. I started out with a Mr. Aqua 7.5 gallon bow front, it wasn't drilled but to me it was amazing. I had an idea of what I was getting into because of my experience in keeping fresh water tanks for about a year but since the beginning I wanted a salt water tank. Due to a mishap that tank sprung a slow leak and without the tank being drilled I was topping off with fresh ro/di water by hand (which was a pain). At that point I decided I wanted to do things right. I purchased a brand new tank, got it drilled, and set up a skimmer, sump, and ATO. The new Mr. Aqua 12 gallon long really caught my eye after seeing a handful of people on Nano-Reef post up pictures. The tanks been set up for a little more than a year now but its time to upgrade. I just recently purchased a custom rimless aquarium from Planet Aquariums (Dallas, TX) through my LFS and I'm patiently awaiting its arrival. The plan is to transfer all the livestock and begin what I see as a brand new experience. Different lighting, brand new skimmer, and a whole lot of more room to work with. I'll be taking pictures and keeping up on updates on the tank through here to track the new progress I have as a reef keeper.
